In Mutevazi Lezzetler we are sharing an economic recipe again
at this episode, we are sharing an honoring recipe
a dessert recipe; "Yeast Fritters with Prunes"
letís see the ingredients list at first, then we will see how to cook it
1 cup of milk
1 cup of warm water
1 tsp granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 pack of instant yeast
10 - 12 beaten prunes
1 pack of vanilla
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp vegetable oil
and flour
for the syrup; 1.10 pounds fresh red plum
2 + 1/2 cups of water
1/2 cup of plum marmalade
and 2 cups of granulated sugar
"to fry; 2 cups of vegetable oil"
Iím starting by preparing the dough
Iím pouring the 1 cup of water into the bowlÖ
adding 1 tsp of granulated sugarÖ
Iím mixing the instant yeast withÖ
some flour
and adding this mixture into the bowl also
and mixing for a while
Iím adding 1 cup of warm water also
Iím breaking the washed eggs into the mixture
Iím mixing it
after mixing itÖ
Iím adding about 1 tbsp of vegetable oil
2 tsp of salt
to give a different taste; 1 pack of vanilla
Iím adding the sifted flour into the mixture little by little
you may use a mixer also
I think that 2 + 1/2 cups of flour is enoughÖ
Iíll mix it, until it smoothens
that is enough for mixing
as you may notice, I did not add the prunes already
after resting the mixture half an hour, Iíll add the prunes
Iíve removed the seeds of the prunes...
but Iíve added the seeds into the pot of the prunes again
now, Iím adding 1 cup of granulated sugar andÖ
1 cup of water
Iíll boil this mixture, until the prunes give their color to the boiling water
Iím mixing it just for a while
if you have an illness about your stomach, plums may make you feel worse
the mixture has reached the boiling temperature, I may remove it from the stove about 1 -2 minutes later
Iím draining this mixture
it becomes different type of syrup
we are getting all the benefits of plum by this way
Iím forcing over the plums by the back of the spoon to get their juice
after draining the prunesÖ
Iím adding 1 cup of sugar and 1/2 cup of plum marmalade
as you may notice we are using all products of plum
it is a plum fiesta
Iím adding 1 cup of water
we may need half more cup
by this way we make the syrup reach the right consistency
Iíll make the mixture reach boiling temperature over medium heat
the syrup is ready, now Iím removing it from the stove and Iíll let it cool down
the dough has rested for about half an hour
Iím adding the finely diced plums and mixing
the dough is ready and the oil is hot right now also
I may start to fry them
after dipping the spoon into the oil, Iím pouring the dough by this way
they take the shape as you may notice
after frying, Iíll place them over paper
Iím removing the fried pieces
they have golden color
they are fried very well
now, Iím placing them into the cooled down syrup
at this episode, we had a plum fiesta
it is very healthyÖ
includes B1, B2, B5 and C vitamins
also includes calcium, magnesium and other minerals
it is especially very beneficial for children
if you have a bowel problemÖ
it also catalyze the bowel activities
after resting the fritters in the syrup for about 15 minutesÖ
